Clinical Supervisor/Clinician - Columbiana County

Clinical Supervisor/Clinician: Responsible for the overall clinical direction and supervision of counseling staff and deliver mental health and counseling services to children, adolescents, and families, primarily in Columbiana County. This position will be responsible for clinical growth and development of assigned counseling staff and compliance with documentation and billing requirements, clinical protocols, and best practices. Serves as an active member of the leadership team. Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a behavioral health discipline and licensure with the state of Ohio as a Professional Counselor or Social Worker. Position requires an independent license in the State of Ohio (LPCC-S, LISW-S); and five years progressively responsible experience in providing, delivering and/or administering prevention and treatment services or programs. The position will also provide counseling services. We are seeking applicants who can provide services in Columbiana County.

Job Description:

Delivery of and supervisory oversight of clinical services as described below to clients according to Alta Behavioral Health Care practices and guidelines.

· Assist staff in understanding and implementing skills to promote both clinical and administrative efficiencies in their job functions.

· Provide Clinical Leadership and direction to staff regarding utilization of Alta services, management of individual cases, and/or program services.

· Attend and participate in regularly scheduled and other Clinical Leadership/Supervisory Meetings, as necessary.

· Monitor supervisees’ compliance with Quality Improvement standards and record keeping policies and procedures. Also, monitor and promote adherence to other Alta policies and procedures as such adherence may be designated as a responsibility of supervisors.

· Monitor, promote, and assist in evaluating efficiencies in administrative competencies of supervisees that have a direct relationship to clinical care and job performance and appropriate service delivery (i.e. scheduling, time management, client activity, no show management, productivity, and quality of care standards compliance).

· To provide Diagnostic Assessments of youth prior to the development of appropriate treatment/service plans, and as appropriate thereafter.

· To provide individual, group, parent and family counseling services for youth when clinically indicated.

· Provide therapeutic interventions in the setting that is most clinically indicated, to include office, home, school, or other community settings.

· To conduct as needed and as directed by the client’s service plan, activities of an experiential/therapeutic nature, which focus on improving interpersonal functioning and self-esteem with targeted youth.

· To provide crisis intervention services, to include verbal mediation interventions, to protect the client and/or other’s wellbeing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Masters Degree in counseling, social work or other related field and licensure with the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board as a L.P.C.C.,L.I.S.W., with Supervisory endorsement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Prior experience in supervision and program management.

· Prior experience providing clinical services to youth in home, office, and school settings.
