Front of House Manager
To ensure we maintain the high standards of Alta Bakery, candidates for the Front of House Manager position should possess the following specific qualifications:
Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume, quality-focused restaurant, café, or bakery setting.
• Experience in hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of FOH staff.
Skills & Knowledge
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle challenging guest situations professionally and resolve issues effectively.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso machine operation (Barista experience is highly desirable).
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic inventory management procedures.
• Ability to manage daily cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation with high accuracy.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred).
Leadership & Management
• Ability to motivate and lead a team in a fast-paced environment, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively under pressure.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business needs.
