Duties
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances.
- Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify root causes quickly and accurately.
- Install, calibrate, and upgrade appliances and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and heating components to maintain comfortable indoor environments.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment records to ensure compliance and facilitate future repairs.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site service calls or equipment transportation as needed.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects related to mechanical or HVAC systems when required.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in repairing mechanical systems and equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) system blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair and installation across various settings including kitchens and industrial environments.
- Knowledge of HVAC system repair techniques including air conditioning units and ventilation systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies and tools in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate construction tools safely and effectively; prior construction experience is a plus.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or lead small teams during maintenance projects.
