We’ll look to you for:
- Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating the safe and efficient mechanical operations activities. ,
- Supervising the performance of the department, including equipment reliability, property management, and transportation for a twenty-four/seven service contract operation. ,
- Directing and administering supervisory and technical staff to ensure quality and timely delivery of maintenance operations. ,
- Ensuring timely delivery of equipment to the customer to maintain uptime availability of rolling equipment. ,
- Serving as a liaison with the customer and Alstom to ensure quality service is provided. ,
- Ensuring all jurisdictional specifications, standards, Federal/State or Province regulations or laws, and BTNA policies are adhered to and communicated effectively to employees. ,
- Supervising, hiring, monitoring, and coordinating work activities of direct reports. ,
- Controlling expenditures in accordance with the budget and reviewing and authorizing purchases of supplies, services, and equipment. ,
- Learning and utilizing new software applications such as Maximo and SAP to enhance operational efficiency. ,
- Applying advanced knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with Title 49 CFR rules and regulations in the passenger rail industry."

- Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration (preferred). ,
- Experience or understanding of locomotive mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. ,
- Knowledge of Title 49 CFR rules and regulations in the passenger rail industry. ,
- Familiarity with managing complex administration departments and assets. ,
- Classroom facilitation and/or training experience in an adult education environment (preferred). ,
- Advanced experience with MS Office. ,
- Ability to learn new software applications such as Maximo and SAP. ,
- FRA and DOT knowledge (preferred). ,
- Leadership and organizational skills to supervise and coordinate work activities of direct reports. ,
- Strong communication skills to liaise with customers and internal stakeholders effectively.
