Your future role

We’ll look to you for:
- Analyzing and filtering real-time data for immediate advice to Control Room and drivers during service disruptions,
- Early detection of maintenance needs through predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies,
- Generating and dispatching failure notifications and assisting with the creation of notifications/Workorders for maintenance teams,
- Supporting the maintenance planner by allocating estimated intervention times and updating equipment counters,
- Assisting DEPOS with log downloads and functional troubleshooting, as well as providing answers to technical questions,
- Keeping the team informed of current engineering fixes for fleet reliability issues,
- Conducting background analysis of data to support Alstom teams in improving/sustaining rolling stock reliability,
- Remotely assisting Amtrak staff with maintenance operations using advanced technology like augmented-reality glasses,
- Participating in a "hands-on" induction phase, including business travel for on-site training and validations,
- Reporting to the Lead Fleet Support Engineer and collaborating with internal and external teams for efficient operations

- Degree in Engineering,
- Experience or understanding of railway environments, ideally in systems integration or maintenance,
- Familiarity with electrical motors (DC & AC) and CAN BUS systems & Ethernet communications,
- Knowledge of train systems and train control methodologies,
- Ability to comprehend and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings,
- Experience with remote troubleshooting and providing technical support,
- Autonomous work ethic with the ability to make informed decisions,
- Resilience to manage pressure and the capacity to say 'no' when necessary,
- Excellent communication abilities and transparency
