You’ll help ensure our equipment meets operational, safety, and compliance standards, making a real impact on the performance and availability of passenger and freight mobility. Day‑to‑day, you’ll collaborate with technicians, operations personnel, and maintenance leaders, supporting safe and efficient rail operations across the site.
You’ll specifically take care of inspecting, repairing and maintaining diesel‑powered rail vehicles, and you’ll also contribute to troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, along with completing technical documentation within our asset management tools.

We’ll look to you for:
- Completing inspections, maintenance tasks and corrective repairs on engines, braking systems and running gear
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
- Operating locomotives and passenger coaches as part of equipment movement activities
- Using asset management systems to document work orders and maintain accurate technical records
- Supporting additional duties as outlined by the collective bargaining agreement

- A high school diploma/GED and a passion for mechanical or electrical work
- Experience or understanding of diesel engines, mechanical systems or electrical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of reading blueprints and interpreting circuit schematics
- Familiarity with PC-based tools, including Microsoft Office
- A Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain a Qualified Maintenance Person (QMP) certification
