ALSO is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern who’s excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment and eager to help design and develop the next generation of ALSO vehicles and components.
What You Will Do
- Assist with hands-on prototyping, including 3D printing, basic machining, part finishing, and assembling early hardware for electric bikes and other small EV systems
- Support mechanical testing and data acquisition, setting up instrumentation (accelerometers, load cells, thermocouples), running test plans, and organizing results.
- Create and update 3D CAD models and drawings for components and sub-systems using CATIA
- Participate in bike/vehicle tear-downs, assembly builds, and debug, working with engineers to identify root causes, propose fixes, and validate design changes.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field with an expected graduation date in 2027.
- Skilled in 3D CAD (CATIA preferred) and familiar with FEA and tolerance analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on prototyping abilities.

- Experience designing or prototyping EV, e-bike, or consumer electronic components.
- Exposure to GD&T, rapid prototyping methods, and design validation testing.
- Comfortable with hands-on fabrication, testing equipment, or lab instrumentation.
- Previous internship or project work in a startup, automotive, or mobility company.
