Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status, including vital signs and overall well-being, while maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support medication administration and care plan implementation under supervision to ensure safety and adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and cooking to meet individual dietary needs..
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols in accordance with health standards.
- Engage clients in social activities and therapeutic programs to foster community involvement and emotional well-being.
- Follow all safety procedures including CPR and first aid protocols to respond effectively during emergencies or incidents.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is essential.
- Certifications such as CPR, first aid, HIPAA compliance training, or nursing assistant credentials are advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely .
- Strong communication skills coupled with patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support others’ well-being.
