ALS United's Structure
- Work Remotely
- Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm CST
- Evening and weekend commitments are imminent
- Attendance is required at all ALS United Greater Chicago Walk ALS events
Key Responsibilities:
Walk ALS
- Produces all elements of: Walk ALS Peoria, Walk ALS Champaign, Walk ALS Northern Illinois
- Elements include: participant recruitment, team retention, event sponsorship, logistics, communication, donor stewardship, event website, kick-off events, list management, reports, etc.
- Actively engage members of the ALS community
Community Engagement
- Identify opportunities in each market to increase visibility and foster stronger community ties
- Serve as a spokesperson for the organization in media interviews, community forums, and public appearances
- Cultivate partnerships in new or underserved regions, supporting strategic growth initiatives
Additional Roles
- Manage DIY program within territory
- Activate Bark ALS
- Support Care Services Coordinator
- Build Team ALS runners within territory
Requirements:
- 3 years of progressive peer-to-peer fundraising experience
- 1 year active in a Walk program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Blackbaud, Raisers Edge, WordPress
- Ability to travel for work-related engagements
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends for special projects and/or events
- Strong organizational and time management skills to balance territory travel with local responsibilities
- Based in Central Illinois
