Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers within the yard.
- Move trailers to designated locations for staging, adhering to yard layout, and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns before movement.
- Maintain accurate logs of trailer movements, inspections, and yard activities for operational tracking.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams and drivers to ensure timely trailer swaps and efficient yard flow.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with experience driving tractor-trailers.
- 1 year driving tractor-trailers.
- Knowledge of truck driving regulations and safety standards related to commercial driving and yard operations.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth yard operations.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive lifting, bending, and maneuvering trailers in a busy environment.
