Responsibilities
About the role
Our Phoenix Beauty and Personal Care location is a well-established consumer product testing laboratory, providing services to the Pharmaceutical /Biotech, Medical Device and OTC /Personal Care industries. The Clinical site conducts human clinical safety and claim substantiation/efficacy studies for cosmetics/personal care products, topical and ophthalmic drug products.
Successful candidates will join a fast paced, positive team with a reputation for excellence in clinical testing that is part of a larger global organization of over 17,000 employees in over 60 countries. At ALS you will join a team that provides clinical testing services to many of the world's leading cosmetic, consumer product and pharmaceutical companies.
Duties include but not limited to:
As a Study Coordinator 1 you will be responsible for critical aspects of clinical testing, including:
- Plans, develops, and manages the safety and efficacy of research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
- Works with Research Assistants and other support staff in carrying out research studies according to protocol.
- Works closely with Principal Investigators to ensure the research studies are conducted under company SOP's and to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in a life science field
- Desires a stable, long-term track in the company with growth potential
- Academic background in the life sciences (Biology, Chemistry, or similar)
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Highly dependable and dedicated
- Able to adapt to changing study schedules
- Proficiency in interpreting clinical data
- Familiarity with basic laboratory/artihmetic calculation
This position is the best fit for someone who is looking to begin a career in the clinical research profession and who would like to develop their experience and skills to move up within our company. Strong oral, written, and qualitative skills are a plus.
Clinical Study Coordination positions are full time (40 hours per week), onsite, with starting rate of $24.00 per hour.
Working conditions:
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time, up to eight (8) hours per business day
- Must be able to stand, bend, push, pull, stoop and crouch frequently while performing the duties of this position
- Must be able to lift (with both hands) and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier loads with assistance
- Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with panelists
