Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Math for 6th grade and Social Studies for middle school grades Teacher to inspire students and cultivate their academic success. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with diverse learners, implement innovative curricula, and contribute to a vibrant school community. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for developing students’ critical thinking and social awareness.

Duties

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons in mathematics—including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus—and social studies topics aligned with curriculum standards.
• Design instructional modifications to accommodate various learning styles and support students with special education needs.
• Implement curriculum development strategies that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
• Utilize educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences and assess student progress effectively.
• Maintain organized classroom environments through effective classroom management and behavior oversight.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic goals through parent-teacher meetings and written reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum implementation, standardized testing preparation, and school-wide initiatives.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of mathematics and state standards for 6th grade .
• Expertise in social studies topics such as history, geography, civics, and cultural awareness.
• Experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds in upper elementary, middle or high school settings.
• Proficiency in educational technology integration and learning management systems.
• Excellent communication skills for effective public speaking, parent engagement, and team collaboration.
• Skilled in curriculum development, instructional modifications, proofreading (including AP style), copy editing, and writing skills.
• Ability to mentor students individually or in groups while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Familiarity with childhood development principles and classroom responsibilities management.
• Experience working with students with different needs or those requiring differentiated instruction.
• Knowledge of educational compliance regulations and standardized testing procedures.
