What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Pharmacy Technician - LTC position at Alps Pharmacy?
In accordance with state/federal regulation, the Overnight Pharmacy Technician - LTC assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in practice of pharmacy. Assists pharmacist in performance of other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This position is a safety sensitive position.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 years of related experience preferred
- Sterile Compounding or IV Experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- High sense of urgency
- High energy personality that thrives in fast paced environment
- Passionate with great attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting to deliver deadlines
- Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks
- Familiar with both iOS and Android systems
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
Education and/or Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- State Driver’s License
- Clean driving record and valid Driver's License
- Registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and Company regulations.
- Prepacking of stock including preparation of equipment and pre-pack labels, packaging and labeling of product for bar-code scanning, and quality control procedures.
- Stock control functions including stock level audits, expiry date checking, stock file maintenance, and maintenance of internal stock movement.
- General cleaning of work area and general maintenance of equipment and materials.
- Maintains knowledge of loss prevention techniques
- Other duties as assigned

- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear
- The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
