Cabinet Delivery & Logistics

The Cabinet Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of custom cabinetry and architectural millwork to job sites, along with supporting our shop team with finished assembly and production work between deliveries. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys a mix of driving and hands-on shop work, takes pride in careful handling of a finished product, and thrives in a fast-paced custom millwork environment.

This is not a 100% driving role. On days without scheduled deliveries, the Cabinet Delivery Driver will work in our shop assisting with finished assembly and other production tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles (box trucks and trailers) to deliver custom cabinetry and millwork to job sites according to the delivery schedule.
  • Load, secure, and protect cabinetry and materials for transport, using blankets, straps, and proper packaging to prevent damage in transit.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes and coordinate timing with the production manager, project team, and job site contacts.
  • Unload and stage cabinetry at job sites, coordinating handoff with installers, contractors, or site supervisors.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; keep company vehicles clean and report any damage, mechanical issues, or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Maintain required driving documentation and comply with all applicable DOT regulations.

Shop & Finished Assembly Support

  • Assist with finished assembly of cabinetry and millwork components when not scheduled for deliveries, including hardware installation, panel and trim assembly, and general production support.
  • Perform finish touch-up work such as filling nail holes, minor sanding, and addressing small defects before products leave the shop.
  • Check completed products against shop drawings, cut lists, or order specifications for accuracy prior to loading for delivery.
  • Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop and loading area.
  • Move and stage large cabinets and materials safely, often with a partner or lift assist equipment.
  • Communicate with the production manager regarding delivery schedules, shop assignments, and any job site or product issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Class A CDL preferred; experience driving box trucks and towing trailers is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a cabinet shop, millwork shop, woodworking, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic carpentry skills and comfort using common hand and power tools (drills, impact drivers, sanders, etc.) for shop assembly tasks.
  • Ability to read basic work orders, cut lists, or shop drawings helpful.
  • Comfortable splitting time between driving and physical, hands-on shop work.
  • Strong time-management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, navigate stairs and ramps, and safely move large cabinets, often with a partner or lift assist.
