What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Field Operator position at Alpine Water Users Association?
Our small rural water company is seeking a dependable, hardworking Seasonal Field Operator to assist with the operation and maintenance of our water distribution system.
Responsibilities include:
- Reading water meters
- Assisting with water line repairs and maintenance
- Performing routine inspections and field work
- Operating hand and power tools
- Maintaining company equipment and work areas
- Responding to other field-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, kneel and crouch repeatedly and for extended periods.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn
- Water system experience is a plus, but not required
This is a seasonal position up to 9 months paying $21.00 per hour. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm, with occasional overtime or weekend work as needed.
