What are the responsibilities and job description for the Para Educator position at Alpine Transition & Education Center (ATEC)?
A paraeducator assists the supervising educator in implementing instructional strategies, monitoring student work, supporting positive behavior systems, answering student questions, and helping the supervising educator with distributing a variety of instructional materials. The A paraeducator is not responsible for creating lesson plans or planning instruction independently; the paraeducator supports the supervising educator, who is responsible for student learning. Must be a good example and teacher of appropriate social interaction.
