DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of critical medical device products supporting scheduled and urgent surgical procedures. This role operates as the “air traffic controller” for three product lines—ensuring instrument trays, implants, and related materials are delivered accurately and on time to surgeons. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility position requiring strong communication, proactive planning, and the ability to adapt quickly to last-minute changes.
- Act as the central coordinator for all logistics across three product lines, ensuring timely delivery of instrument trays and implants for scheduled surgeries
- Manage and execute shipment planning based on a weekly surgery schedule submitted by the sales team
- Coordinate 6–8 shipments per surgery, including overnight and urgent requests
- Monitor and adjust logistics plans in real-time to accommodate last-minute or emergency surgical needs
- Create shipping labels, track shipments, and ensure accurate delivery timelines
- Maintain consistent communication with sales reps regarding shipment status and delivery expectations
- Build and manage relationships with courier services and dispatch teams
- Coordinate with distributors to ensure off-the-shelf products are available as needed
- Handle inbound calls and emails related to logistics coordination and issue resolution
- Physically assist with preparing shipments (~10% hands-on: pick, pack, ship)
- Ensure all materials (including lab samples and implants) are properly prepared and delivered to hospitals or physician offices
- Troubleshoot delivery issues and proactively resolve delays to avoid impact on surgeries
