- Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives and IEP goals.
- Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed by a health care professional (e.g. medication, tube feeding, colostomy bags, etc.) for the purpose of meeting immediate health care needs of students.
- Administers tests, homework, make-up work, etc. for the purpose of supporting teachers in the classroom.
- Assists data collection under the direction of the assigned teacher for the purpose of monitoring student progress.
- Assists students with self-care activities (e.g. toileting, washing, changing diapers, eating, dressing, grooming., etc.) for the purpose of maintaining students' personal hygiene.
- Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments (e.g. reading stories, listening to students read, providing writing assistance, reinforcing english lessons, providing spelling practice, facilitating activities, computer learning programs, etc.) for the purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing learning concepts and assisting students in reaching academic goals and grade level standards.
- Attends job specific trainings and meetings (e.g. first aid, behavior management, etc.) for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
- Communicates with supervising instructional staff, professional support personnel, for the purpose of assisting in evaluating progress and/or implementing IEP and/or 504 objectives.
- Demonstrates appropriate role modeling (e.g. conversation, manners, emotional support, listening skills, friendly and engaging attitudes, etc.) for the purpose of guiding students in the development of appropriate social and interpersonal behavior.
- Implements, under the supervision of assigned teacher, behavioral plans identified in student IEPs for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts.
- Maintains instructional materials and/or manual and electronic files/records and classroom equipment, work area, etc. for the purpose of ensuring availability of items; providing written reference; and/or meeting mandated requirements.
- Monitors students during assigned periods in a variety of school environments (e.g. rest rooms, playgrounds, hallways, bus loading zones, cafeteria, parking lots, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
- Performs a variety of clerical duties (e.g. screening phone calls, distributing materials, maintaining inventories, processing documents, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Provides, under the supervision of assigned teacher, instruction to students in a variety of individual and group activities (e.g. academic subjects, social skills, daily living skills, etc.) for the purpose of reinforcing instructional objectives; implementing IEP and/or 504 plans; and ensuring student success in school.
- Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students (e.g. accidents, fights, inappropriate social behavior, violations of rules, safety conditions, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.

Non-contract, no benefits,
Hours a day: 29 Hours/Week
Hourly rate: Untrained- Lane 5 $15.61
Trained- Lane 6 $16.62 (Employee will have the option to complete an in-district training which will qualify them for lane 6)

Lehi High School is seeking a dedicated Hall Monitor to support student success by encouraging timely and consistent classroom attendance. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe and orderly campus environment. The new hire will monitor hallways during class time and instructional periods to ensure students are in class, supervise common areas before and after school, during lunch, and at assemblies, promote a positive school climate by building respectful relationships with students, maintain visibility throughout the campus, including walking and taking stairs frequently, ability to walk and stand for extended periods, including navigating stairs, strong communication and interpersonal skills, dependable, proactive, and comfortable working with high school-aged students.
