Alpine Refrigeration located in Newington, CT is looking for a highly motivated Refrigeration Technician who is familiar with mechanical and electrical systems to join our fantastic team!

Our ideal candidate would need to have:
- At least 1 year experience with commercial grade equipment including but not limited to Commercial Refrigeration, Preventative Maintenance on refrigeration equipment, Walk in coolers and freezers, Reach in coolers & Ice Machines.
- In Depth working knowledge of refrigeration equipment as well as Electrical knowledge.
- Possess a valid Driver’s license with a great driving record.
- E.P.A. certification for refrigerant handling class I & II, or universal. D2 License a plus.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively with little to no supervision.
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
- Detailed orientated with a high standard of integrity and reliability.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain refrigeration systems for a group of food service locations.
- Ability to establish effective regular communications with Site Management to ensure they are kept informed of all ongoing maintenance activities.
- Maintain all assets for which you have responsibility to the highest standards.
- Perform refrigeration preventive maintenance checks in a timely manner as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and safe work space.
- Communicate as needed with retail store location personnel to maintain refrigerated product integrity.
- Participate in company's "on call" after hours emergency call program.
- Assist with trouble shooting problems.
- Act in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
