Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive community programs aligned with organizational goals and community needs.
- Lead volunteer management efforts by recruiting, training, supervising, and recognizing volunteers to support program activities.
- Oversee program operations, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards through effective project management.
- Cultivate partnerships with local organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to expand program reach and impact.
- Coordinate public speaking engagements, workshops, and outreach events to promote awareness of programs and services.
- Collect and analyze data related to program participation, outcomes, and community feedback to inform continuous improvement.
- Manage social media platforms and marketing strategies to increase visibility and engagement within target communities.
- Supervise staff members by providing mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Oversee fundraising efforts by writing grant proposals, organizing fundraising events, and cultivating donor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and safety protocols including CPR certification requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience in supervising teams or managing volunteers within community-based or social service programs.
- Demonstrated success in program development from conception through evaluation in public health or youth education settings.
- Strong background in project management with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in public speaking and community outreach.
- Familiarity with social media management tools, marketing strategies, data collection methods, and technical proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling, public health principles, social work practices, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Experience working with underserved populations or in culturally diverse environments is essential for success in this role.
- Organizational skills combined with administrative experience in recruiting staff or volunteers are critical for effective program oversight.
