We are seeking a motivated and dependable Propane Delivery Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting propane and related products to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of trucks including bobtails, 10 wheelers, other freight vehicles to deliver propane and related products.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transit.
- Follow designated delivery routes accurately while adapting to changing conditions to meet customer needs promptly.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational readiness.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during route driving.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs in accordance with company policies.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials like propane, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within the propane or similar freight industry.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with minimum of class B tanker/haz-mat endorsements suitable for operating bobtail tanker trucks, or other specialized vehicles.
- Experience in route driving with a focus on load & unload procedures in various settings including residential and industrial sites.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to transporting hazardous materials like propane.
