Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC lathe set up specialist and programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up/programming/operating CNC lathes to produce precision components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, doing set up independently and programming is a plus, with the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The candidate will contribute to the efficiency and quality of our production operations while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes , ensuring optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
- Basic knowledge of program CNC lathes using CAD software to create precise components.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform setup and adjustments on machines as necessary for production runs.
- Fabricate parts using hand tools and power tools, ensuring high-quality output.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing practices for improved efficiency.
- Assemble components as required, following detailed instructions and blueprints.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC lathe operator and set up specialist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of in CAD software for programming CNC machines.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in machining is a plus.
