  • Direct colleagues to follow lab requirements.
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and logging of incoming chemicals and test materials.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders regarding sample receipt, discrepancies, documentation needs, and status updates.
  • Set up, conduct and analyze exposure tests utilizing standards and specifications.
  • Create test proposals, evaluate test program pricing, write and review final reports, send to customers, revise as needed.
  • Follow quality system requirements in all work, including use of controlled forms, revision‑controlled documents, and proper corrections to records.
  • Report nonconformances or safety concerns promptly and participate in corrective actions as requested.

General, safety, and physical requirements

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area consistent with laboratory safety and work-flow procedures.
  • Comply with all lab safety policies, including proper PPE use, chemical handling, and waste management practices.
  • Safely handle and move boxes and containers of chemicals and materials; must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications: Ideal candidate will have qualifications that include:

  • Education in chemistry, science and/or chemical engineering (4 yr degree required).
  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals or working in a laboratory, industrial, or O&G environment is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of lab testing methods and equipment.
  • Expertise with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding SDS and typical safety precautions utilized while working with chemicals including storage, mixing and use of chemicals and disposal methods.
  • Quality Control and Calibration – conducting tests and inspections of products and processes to evaluate quality performance.
  • Accuracy of work and attention to detail is required.
  • Self-motivated and able to work individually and/or in a team environment.
