What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate: Second Shift (11:00 am start) $19.00/hr position at Alpine Plywood Corp?
This is a second shift position, Monday-Thursday 11:00 AM- until work is completed (approx. 7:30 PM), Friday 11-until work is completed (approx. 4:30 PM) (option to begin work at 8:00 AM to get full 40 hours for the week)In this position you will perform various warehouse activities such as receive, input, sort, load, and unload products. You will organize stock, maintain inventory, process, pack, and ship orders. Attention to detail is a must, as you will be inspecting products for defects and reporting damage as needed.Responsibilities and Duties· Process, pack, and ship orders accurately.· Maintain inventory of products; restock as needed.· Inspect products for damage; report as needed.· Set up, operate, and monitor cold press machine.· Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.· Receive and appropriately sort and store incoming products.· Prepare products for shipping.· Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures.· Additional duties as assigned.Required Skills and Qualifications· High school diploma preferred.· Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment preferred.· Ability to skillfully and safely operate a forklift.· Comfortable learning and working with a warehouse data system.· Solid communication and inventory skills.· Excellent attention to detail.· Ability to read and write in English.· Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for the work; ability to lift or move at least 50 lbs.· Comfortable operating and working around heavy machinery.· Ability to comfortably stand for long periods of time.Work environment and schedule· A warehouse that includes both indoor and outdoor settings with temperature variations.· Must be able to work overtime.Company DescriptionAlpine Plywood has been Wisconsin’s premier supplier of innovative products for the residential and commercial building industries for over 40 years.
