Alpine Pharmacy is seeking a part-time pharmacy technician. Alpine Pharmacy offers a unique opportunity to make a difference, to learn and to grow, and work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The pharmacy technician position at Alpine Pharmacy is responsible for providing support to the pharmacist in the preparation dispensing, and distribution of medications to patients in a variety of long-term care settings. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications according to physician orders
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Phone interactions with caregivers, family members, and medical providers
- Process insurance claims
- Onsite pharmacy consulting services
- Vaccination administration (training provided upon willingness to administer)
- Computer software proficiency for prescription processing and cycle fills (QS1 PrimeCare
and Synmed XF)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Technician Certification
- 1 years’ experience in a pharmacy setting (Long Term Care pharmacy experience strongly preferred, but not required)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
Compensation: 22.00 - 24.00$/hour. Overtime and holiday.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
