Job Summary
Alpine Overhead Doors is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our manufacturing team. As a Machine Operator, you will operate and assist with the setup of various production equipment used to manufacture overhead door components. Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred but not required. We provide paid, hands-on training for motivated candidates with mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with machine setup and product changeovers.
- Load raw materials into machines using forklifts or overhead cranes (training provided).
- Read work orders and produce parts according to specifications.
- Measure and inspect finished products using tape measures, gauges, and other measuring tools.
- Perform quality checks throughout the production process.
- Assist with receiving, staging, and organizing materials and inventory.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow company safety policies and work effectively as part of a team.
- Cross-train on multiple machines and manufacturing processes as needed.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Basic English communication skills preferred.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Duties
- Operate a variety of industrial machinery including CNC machining with precision and safety.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to set up and run manufacturing processes accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime.
- Conduct dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Follow safety standards in production environments by adhering to proper procedures for materials handling, tooling use, and machine operation.
- Assist with fabrication tasks including welding, assembly, and packaging of finished products.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, quality checks, and equipment performance for continuous improvement.

Pay: $17.50 - $22.50 per hour
