What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Services Representative position at Alpine Orthopaedic Specialists?
A patient services representative at Alpine Orthopaedic Specialist will perform a number of duties, including but not limited to:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional and welcoming manner.
- Patient registration and process paperwork for doctors’ appointments.
- Collect insurance information and insurance verification.
- Collect co-pays and process payments on patient accounts.
- Answer patient billing and account questions.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls.
- Coordinate referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices or specialists.
- Scanning all clinical and financial documents into the practice management software and electronic health record.
- Process medical records requests.
- Assist the billing department, clinical department and physicians with administrative tasks/projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
