Our full-time Medical Equipment Delivery Driver role is perfect for those who enjoy helping others and making a difference in people’s lives. In this position, you will be responsible for efficient and friendly delivery service and equipment training to customers in their home, as well as being responsible for safeguarding company assets while in your care. Our drivers are the “face of Alpine Home Medical” to our customers, clients, and care facilities, so exceptions customer service skills are an essential aspect of this role. This role will also complete minor repair work and maintenance on equipment.
**Rotational on-call work is required of this position**.
Experience Needed
- Good driving record
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and share information with a diverse group of customers and peers
- Mechanical and technical skills desired
- A resourceful self-starter able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Works well independently, as well as part of a team
- Be a cooperative team member with a positive attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, Monday through Saturday
- Ability to respond to customer questions and concerns with a friendly, committed attitude
- A High school diploma or a G.E.D.
There Will Also be Some Physical Requirements:
- Reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including POS system and ability to process register transactions
- Frequently lift/move up to 65lbs
Responsibilities & Duties
- Providing an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority
- Delivering home medical equipment, and picking up equipment in a timely manner
- Completing minor repair work and maintenance on equipment
- Educating customers on the use of home medical equipment
- Driving safely and defensively, making sure to obey all traffic laws
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining rental equipment
- Maintaining the cleanliness of warehouse and delivery vehicle
- Responsible for observing confidentiality at all times
- Adhering to all company policy
- Performing these and other functions as directed by management
We’ll also need you to have regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
