Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitizing surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures.
- Maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other hotel facilities with meticulous attention to sanitation standards.
- Operate janitorial equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, and cleaning carts efficiently to ensure optimal cleanliness.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks involving moving furniture or large cleaning supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests courteously and professionally, ensuring a positive experience during their stay.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial work is highly preferred; familiarity with hotel housekeeping management is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning methods.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and effectively while understanding safety data sheets (SDS).
- Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools.
- Ability to work efficiently during evening shifts (PM shift) with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards in a fast-paced environment.
