Responsibilities
- Assist with a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
- Utilize digital systems to document patient histories, treatment plans, and medical records accurately.
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
- Use dental terminology effectively to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Assist with medical documentation and coding for insurance claims and billing processes related to dental procedures.
- Support the dental reception team by providing information about treatments, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow smoothly.
- Uphold infection control standards rigorously through proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Participate in ongoing training related to new dental technologies such as 3D scanners or advanced prosthodontic techniques to enhance clinical outcomes.
