Range 36: $19.85 - $24.14/hour

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of library clerical and technical work; and to perform related duties as assigned. Library Assistant I is the entry-level classification in the Library Assistant series. Incumbents perform more routine duties and work under close supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by coursework in library skills or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: One (1) year of general office assistance work experience or completion of office skills training courses.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: .475% FTE in a five-step salary system. This is a part-time position with no additional benefits.
