Alphasource is hiring a local Sales expert to join its industry-leading team. Celebrating over a century of continuous operation, our Company is scaling to meet increased customer demand and implement systems to cater to an increasingly diverse customer base. This role will involve frequent communication between Alphasource’s sales, customer service and executive teams.
Alphasource is a family-owned, Philadelphia-based manufacturer and distributor of specialized industrial maintenance, packaging, safety products, and services for the food processing, manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare, and construction industries. Alphasource is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, and has customers around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for identifying, targeting, and acquiring new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through market research, cold calls, networking, and other lead-generation activities
- Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand clients' requirements and provide tailored solutions, working closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify potential leads and develop strategies for approaching them
- Local travel within the Philadelphia, New Jersey and Delaware Sales Territory to meet new prospects and existing customers
- Provide value-add to customers by recommending products that will solve particular industry challenges
- Interface with Customer Service Team to ensure that requests are promptly satisfied and sales leads are converted into orders in a timely manner
- Enter opportunities and deals into HubSpot CRM system
- Help expand product portfolio and offering for core customer segments
- Report on sales activities, pipeline development, and progress towards targets
Qualifications of the right candidate
- At least 3 years of B2B sales experience
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to connect with customers through telephone calling, in-person visits and e-mail to convert prospects into long-term customer relationships
- Highly motivated and persistent self-starter able to prioritize customer outreach and deliver impactful customer experiences that translate into repeat sales
- Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Word, Teams, and Outlook applications, with general understanding of core business functions
- Ability to learn and sell the company's product lines to new and existing customers
- Proficiency in CRM software
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
