Experienced Dental Assistant – Private Practice

Pay: $20– $28 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday (Every other Friday) | Half days Mondays and Fridays | No nights or weekends
Position: Part time | Full time | Flexible (long term temp)

We are currently looking for an experienced Dental Assistant who is friendly, dependable, and motivated to provide excellent patient care while working closely with a collaborative dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms according to OSHA and infection control guidelines
- Take high-quality digital X-rays
- Fabricate temporary crowns and take dental impressions
- Assist with diagnostic imaging and treatment preparation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Ensure treatment rooms and clinical areas remain clean and organized
- Support front office operations when needed (checking patients in/out, answering phones, scheduling)
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience
- X-ray certification (required)
- Experience taking impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Strong understanding of infection control and OSHA guidelines
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Open Dental software
- Expanded functions experience (EFDA)
- Experience assisting with restorative and crown procedures
- Cross trained is a plus
