We currently have an opening in our Signs Department at our center located in downtown Pittsburgh. Do you have experience installing and producing signs and vinyl graphics? Are you an active problem-solver that has an “anything is possible” attitude? Do you take pride in your work and craftsmanship? Then we may have the position for you! AlphaGraphics is looking to add a new member to our ever-growing Signs Department.
As a sign specialist you will be responsible for the production and installation of various types of signs and graphics including, but not limited to, vinyl lettering, wall wraps, vehicle wraps, dimensional lettering, stand-off mounted panel signs, hanging banners, and everything in between. The ability to think on your feet, problem solve, and adapt to different scenarios is key. You would be responsible for producing signs at our in-house facility that require lamination of materials, weeding vinyl graphics and lettering, and running various type of equipment including large format printers, plotters, routers and a cutting machines to produce top-quality large format and sign products. We work in a fast-paced environment so being organized is also very important.

Responsibilities:

o Operating roll-to-roll and flatbed printers.
o Custom signs finishing including plotter cutting, weeding, masking, and mounting vinyl graphics and lettering to various surfaces and substrates.

o Mounting and direct printing graphics to various substrates and materials.
o Laminating and preparing of graphics and materials.
o Site surveying for measurements, adhesion tests, and installation assessments.
o Installing vinyl wrapping of walls, windows and occasionally vehicles.
o Installing Stud mounting dimensional signage and letters into interior and exterior walls.

o Traveling to local off-site installations.
Requirements:
o Working knowledge of large format equipment, including but not limited to, flat bed printers, roll-to-roll printers, plotters, routers, and cutting tables.
o Experience with various tools and power tools (ei: drills, hammer drills, saws, routers, etc).
o Valid driver’s license.
o High attention to detail including accurate measuring and craftmanship.
o Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, use lifts, etc.
o Knowledge of sign materials and substrates.
o Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and/or other design software.
Pluses:
o 3M Wrap Certification or comparable certification (Oracal, Arlon, Avery, etc)
o Previous experience with a router or cutter table (Colex, Zund, etc.)
o Experience with light electrical work.
o Experience with Summa GoSign software.
o Experience with Onyx RIP Software.
Salary : $25 - $35
