We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will support the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-growing financial technology company in the healthcare financing space. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, process-driven, and eager to gain exposure to a broad range of accounting, finance, operational, and strategic initiatives.
This position offers meaningful growth opportunities and hands-on experience across month-end close, cash management, partner settlement reporting, audit support, tax preparation, and financial analysis.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
- Support revenue, expense, accrual, prepaid, and intercompany accounting
- Assist with financial statement flux and variance analysis
- Perform daily cash reconciliations across multiple bank and settlement accounts
- Monitor cash activity and assist with treasury reporting
- Support reconciliation of settlement accounts and partner funding activity
- Prepare and review daily partner settlement files and reporting
- Assist in validating funding activity, settlements, reserves, and reconciliation items
- Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external partners
- Process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements
- Maintain vendor records and assist with payment runs
- Ensure proper coding and supporting documentation
- Review budget to actuals monthly
- Assist with external audit requests and preparation of PBC schedules
- Support preparation of tax workpapers and documentation for outside tax advisors
- Maintain organized accounting support and internal documentation
- Help strengthen accounting processes and internal controls
- Assist with monthly variance analysis and management reporting
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
- Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and strategic finance initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate accounting preferred)
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and external audits
- CPA eligible or pursuing CPA preferred
- Ability to work independently and improve processes in a fast-paced environment
- Financial services, fintech, lending, banking, payments, or regulated industries experience
- Experience working with large data files and reconciliations
- Familiarity with Netsuite, Looker, Rippling
- Exposure to audit support and tax workpaper preparation
