Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join our team as a Forensic Engineer. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to see the real-world impact of their engineering expertise. You’ll inspect structures, identify risks, and develop practical repair recommendations — all while helping protect homes and businesses throughout LA.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site forensic evaluations of structures, foundations, and soils
- Perform detailed inspections of subfloor and structural components
- Identify issues, analyze damage, and recommend repair solutions
- Write clear and professional engineering reports
- Communicate findings to clients, internal project managers, and leadership
- Stay current on applicable codes and standards (CBC, IBC, AISC, ACI, etc.)
Requirements:
- Professional Engineer license in California (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5 years of experience in structural engineering, including fieldwork
- Experience with forensic evaluations and field troubleshooting
- Knowledge of structural codes and repair best practices
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
