Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Sleep Technician to join our team. As a Sleep Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support in our operations and assisting with sleep study procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on sleep medicine and patient care.
Duties:
- Educating and interacting with patients and their family members during the course of the patient visit
- Calibrate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment
- Perform polysomnographic diagnostic and therapeutic testing to assist with the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disordered breathing.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations within the sleep center.
Qualifications:
- Experience or certification/registry in sleep medicine or related field preferred, but not required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology is a plus.
- Familiarity with sleep medicine practices is a plus.
- Ability to accurately record and report patient information.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn about sleep medicine and use this knowledge to help our patients is an absolute must.
- Enrollment in the American Academy of Sleep Medicine "A-step" program will be required within 3-6 months from hire. Reimbursement assistance is provided but requires an employment contract.
