Position OverviewWe are seeking a Security Patrol Officer & Drone Pilot to join our team. This is one position with dual responsibilities: providing traditional on-the-ground security patrols and operating our surveillance drone system during nightly perimeter sweeps.
The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and eager to embrace both traditional and modern security methods.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol Duties
- Conduct vehicle-based patrols of client properties.
- Perform gate security checks and verify access points.
- Walk designated areas to inspect doors, windows, and perimeter barriers.
- Respond to suspicious activity, alarms, or client concerns.
- Drone Operations
- Conduct nightly perimeter sweeps using a thermal-equipped drone.
- Operate drone spotlight system to assist in property checks.
- Maintain proper flight logs and ensure FAA compliance (training provided if necessary).
- Reporting & Documentation
- Complete daily activity logs and incident reports with accuracy.
- Provide weekly summaries for clients, detailing patrols and findings.
- Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Comfortable working outdoors, at night, and in varying conditions.
- Ability to operate technology (smartphone apps, GPS systems, basic drone controls).
- Preferred (but not required): California Guard Card & FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot License.
- Hourly pay (to be decided during interview process).
