Job Title: Direct Support Staff (Full-Time)
Location: Itasca, MN (Group Home)
Shifts: Days, Evenings & Overnights available (Weekend availability required)
About the Role:
Alpha Services Company is hiring Direct Support Staff to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness in their daily lives. You will help consumers build independence, manage health and daily needs, and engage with the community. Full training is provided!
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Living & Care: Assist consumers with personal care, meal planning/prep, recreation, and social skills.
- Health & Safety: Administer medications (after training), monitor health conditions, and maintain a clean, safe home environment.
- Documentation: Complete daily progress notes, medication sheets, and incident reports.
- Transportation & Outings: Provide safe transportation for consumers to activities and appointments.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (or in the process of obtaining it).
- Valid Minnesota Driver’s License with a clean driving record (insurability is required for employment).
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience with developmental disabilities or mental illness is a plus, but not required.
