Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the key driver in evaluating roofing project bids, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the successful execution of commercial roofing projects across TPO, EPDM, coatings, metal, and specialty systems. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective project planning, and seamless communication with clients and contractors. Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed takeoffs using digital plans, site visits, and field measurements
- Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and scopes of work for commercial roofing projects
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and addenda to ensure complete bid coverage
- Collaborate with project managers, field leaders, and vendors to validate pricing and production rates
- Develop value‑engineered options and system recommendations when appropriate
- Maintain organized bid logs, deadlines, and follow‑up schedules
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, architects, and suppliers
- Participate in pre‑bid meetings, job walks, and client discussions
- Ensure estimates align with company standards, safety requirements, and production capabilities
- Support handoff meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimating to operations
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of commercial roofing estimating experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of TPO, EPDM, PVC, coatings, metal roofing, and wall panel systems
- Proficiency with takeoff software (e.g., Procore)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Strong math, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license and ability to attend jobsite visits
