Metal Technician

Job Summary:  Assists in the fabrication of metal roofing panels and all of the activities associated with the metal department by performing the following duties.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow company safety to ensure a safe work environment.
• Load and unload tools and material
• Cuts and bends metal and assists with deliveries.
• Assists in warehouse as needed.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow directions.
• Excellent Interpersonal skills are essential for effective teamwork.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Forklift certified is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1 year of experience in warehouse or construction industry preferred.
• Bilingual is English/Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 75-100 pounds at times and repeatedly as needed.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the warehouse. 
• Position works both inside and outside during various types of weather.
