Job Summary
As the Production Floor Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor. You'll manage and motivate team members, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure that production runs efficiently and effectively. This is a key leadership role in our growing facility, requiring attention to detail, strong communication, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct production staff to complete work orders on time and to specification
- Conduct daily Tier 1 meetings, track attendance, and assign job responsibilities
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment at all times
- Maintain quality standards by supporting in-process inspections and collaborating with the Quality team
- Partner with Planning and Engineering to resolve production challenges and streamline processes
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork
- Support training and cross-training to strengthen team capabilities
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate key performance metrics
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action for process-related issues
- Oversee the proper use, care, and maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate a team
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or daily management systems is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Proficient with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, ERP systems preferred)
- High school diploma required; technical training or an associate degree is a plus
