Seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to apply rugged design techniques while ensuring manufacturability and design integrity.
Responsibilities :
- Interpret customer specifications for mechanical design.
- Develop layouts and concepts using SOLIDWORKS.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers on circuit card placement and wiring.
- Create fabrication and assembly drawings, applying GD&T analysis.
- Evaluate first article units for mechanical fit and functionality.
- Support design, integration, and testing phases.
- Work with the Prototype team to validate designs.
- Prepare and review cable drawings for technical fit.
- Develop BOMs, test procedures, and product specs.
- Generate and review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Provide cost estimates and lead time projections.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
