Duties
- Identify and generate new leads through proactive outreach, networking, and market research to expand the company's freight customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure seamless account management and customer satisfaction.
- Develop customized transportation solutions by analyzing client requirements, leveraging transportation management systems (TMS), and coordinating with carriers and 3PL providers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements
- Manage all aspects of freight sales including quoting, data entry into CRM software, dispatching shipments, and tracking
- Collaborate with logistics teams on transportation planning, dispatching, and carrier sales to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to identify new opportunities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B sales within the freight, logistics, or supply chain management sectors.
- Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, AS400, and related technology platforms.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes including dispatching, carrier sales, pricing strategies, contracts, and transportation planning.
- Excellent negotiation skills paired with a customer-centric approach to account management.
- Ability to analyze data for lead generation purposes and develop strategic sales plans.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
