Role: Operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images, prepare and position patients, ensure safety protocols, maintain equipment, and collaborate with radiologists for accurate diagnoses. Provide compassionate patient care, document procedures, and follow safety standards to minimize radiation exposure. Adapt to various CT equipment and protocols across healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment for imaging bones, organs, and tissues
- Prepare, explain procedures, and position patients appropriately
- Set technical parameters for optimal imaging
- Deliver high-quality images for radiologist interpretation
- Maintain safety standards and perform equipment troubleshooting
- Accurately document patient data and procedural details
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely diagnostics
- Perform other duties within CT Tech scope as assigned
- One year of recent CT Technologist experience
- Valid radiology license and current BLS certification
- Preferred ARRT certification
- Critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC skills
- Physical ability to move and handle equipment
- Effective teamwork and adaptability
- Visual acuity and ability to work under pressure
