Role Overview: The Student, Nuclear Medicine Technologist assists in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radionuclides and radiation detection equipment.
Responsibilities: Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, assist under supervision, ensure patient comfort and safety, maintain accurate records, participate in quality control, and manage radioisotope handling per regulations. Schedule exams, verify orders, and uphold cleanliness and organization of work areas.
Qualifications & Skills: High School diploma or GED, enrollment in an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program, BLS certification, exceptional communication, interpersonal, and computer skills, and a compassionate attitude.
Additional Info: No prior work experience required. Must work collaboratively with healthcare staff and external stakeholders, including at director level. Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing conditions. This position offers limited benefits and requires a minimum number of worked hours.
