The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive inpatient care, managing a group of patients by utilizing the nursing process, technology, and resources within the healthcare setting.
- Performs patient assessments, develops, implements, and modifies plans of care based on patient and family needs.
- Documents nursing care accurately, ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Ensures patient and employee safety by reporting hazards and incidents.
- Communicates effectively with colleagues, offers feedback, and supports professional development.
- Floats across multiple inpatient units, including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs.
- Provides direct nursing care, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and precepts staff from various units.
- Completes unit-specific training and adheres to departmental competencies.
- Maintains required certifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS, with ongoing education as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years inpatient RN experience
- Valid RN license and certifications (BLS, ACLS)
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to various inpatient settings and collaborate effectively.
