Provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients, following physician orders. Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff regarding respiratory therapies and consults on therapy effectiveness. Performs assigned duties to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Administers respiratory treatments, assesses patient needs, operates respiratory care devices, and collaborates with healthcare team members. Consults on therapy effectiveness and supports clinical decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
Requires graduation from a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program, a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, and the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC. PALS certification is required for ER roles. Preferred qualifications include ACLS certification and critical care experience. Physical demands involve handling respiratory equipment and maneuvering with weights up to 50 lbs.
