- Assess patient conditions, develop and administer care plans, document care, and evaluate outcomes.
- Welcome patients, promote a safe environment, and supervise care staff.
- Coordinate with the Resource and Referral Department for admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring clear communication.
- Interact with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather and analyze data for comprehensive care planning.
- Contribute to nursing department goals, participate in quality improvement, and assist in staff selection and orientation.
- Attend training, serve as a role model, and educate community groups about mental health.
- Supervise patient care as needed within budget constraints.
- Nursing degree and current Illinois RN license.
- CPR certification; CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred: psychiatric experience, knowledge of abnormal psychology, and therapeutic systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with diverse teams.
