Registered Nurse - GI Endoscopy Intake/Recovery

The Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and education in an outpatient GI Endoscopy setting for adult patients.

Responsibilities include

• performing focused patient assessments
• reviewing medical histories, medications, and allergies
• assisting in the endoscopy suite, including room setup and procedural support
• administering moderate sedation when needed
• monitoring patients post-sedation until discharge criteria are met
• collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members
• ensuring accurate documentation and physiologic monitoring
• interpreting ECG rhythms and attaining ACLS certification
  
  

The role demands critical thinking, attention to detail, multitasking, and autonomous functioning in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.

Qualifications include

• current RN license, BLS certification, and one year of RN experience
• preferred experience in ICU, ER, PACU, or ECG interpretation and a BSN
• excellent communication and teamwork skills
